Marex has promoted Allison DiClemente to global head of capital introduction.
In her new role, she will lead a 13-person team across the Americas, UK, Middle East, and Asia, focused on connecting hedge fund managers with institutional allocators globally.
Based in New York, Allison joined Marex Prime Services as executive director in May 2024, bringing 20 years of industry experience, including 15 years at Barclays Corporate & Investment Bank, where she was director of capital introduction and business development.
Marex has built its capital introduction offering around the needs of emerging hedge fund managers, developing an allocator network focused on investors actively seeking opportunities in this section of the market.
The team combines deep knowledge of its manager clients and their strategies with an understanding of individual allocator interests and objectives.
It currently provides access to a network of approximately 2,100 institutional investors, advisors, and family offices globally, with an on-the-ground presence in New York, San Francisco, Dallas, São Paulo, London, Dubai, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
Jack Seibald, global co-head of Prime Services at Marex, says: “Capital introduction is a core part of our client offering and has played an important role in the growth of our Prime Services and Outsourced Trading businesses.
“As we continue to expand globally, the time is right to bring dedicated leadership to the team.
“Alli has made a significant contribution since joining Marex, has an exceptional track record of supporting managers with their fundraising objectives, and has earned the trust and respect of colleagues and clients alike.”
DiClemente adds: “Capital introduction is a key differentiator for Marex, combining a broad global allocator network with deep knowledge of alternative investment strategies.”
