The Securities 91ԭƬ Association has welcomed the Japan Securities Depository Centre (JASDEC) as a Solutions member.
JASDEC is a central securities depository and the only organisation responsible for operating a comprehensive securities settlement infrastructure system in Japan.
Under the Act on Book-Entry Transfer of Corporate Bonds and Shares, JASDEC provides book-entry transfer and post-trade services for all dematerialised securities regulated under the legislation.
The firm operates the Pre-Settlement Matching System, an automated trade-matching platform for institutional investors.
The system facilitates electronic matching for repo and securities lending transactions, supporting straight-through processing from trading to eventual settlement.
Through its subsidiary, the JASDEC DvP Clearing Corporation, JASDEC also provides delivery-versus-payment (DvP) settlement services for customer-side transfers of listed securities, supporting both trading and lending.
The Solutions membership is tailored for clearing houses, data providers, exchanges, financial technology platforms, infrastructure providers, and professional service companies involved in securities finance transactions.
