Euronext launches European CSD model

Euronext Securities has launched its European Central Securities Depository (CSD) settlement model.
Following a testing phase that commenced in May, the framework officially went live on 21 September 2026.
Under the new model, equities and euro-denominated exchange traded products (ETPs) traded on Euronext Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris can settle within Euronext’s single European CSD network alongside Athens, Copenhagen, Milan, Oslo, and Porto.
Euronext Securities is now the designated default CSD for equities and ETPs across the Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris hubs.
According to the firm, settlement is fully interoperable with other CSDs via the European Central Bank's TARGET2-Securities platform, executing at the cost of a domestic transaction.
In a public statement, Euronext comments: “As Europe advances the Savings and Investments Union and negotiations on the Market Integration and Supervisory Package, this is a concrete example of integration being delivered in practice: more choice, less fragmentation, and genuinely European infrastructure.”
