Clearstream appoints Southgate

Clearstream has hired John Southgate as director of the business development team within its Collateral, Lending, and Liquidity Solutions division, led by Marton Szigeti.
Based in London, Southgate will be responsible for the sovereign and supranational segment and will report to James Cherry, head of business development and trading for the division.
Southgate brings over 25 years of industry experience, including leadership roles in collateral services at Citi, and derivatives and collateral product management at Northern Trust, alongside earlier roles at Lehman Brothers and Nomura.
His background spans collateral management, repo, lending, prime brokerage, and product development.
