State Street’s Siglain to lead new team

State Street has brought Financing and Portfolio Solutions together under a new Execution, Financing and Clearing team led by Taryn Siglain.
By aligning these capabilities, the firm says it is expanding the range of solutions available to help clients optimise financing, execute investment strategies, and respond more effectively to market opportunities.
Commenting on the news, Siglain, global head of Execution, Financing and Clearing, says: “By combining our two businesses, we are creating a unified platform for our clients’ evolving needs — helping them access liquidity, execute investment strategies, and optimise financing across market cycles with confidence.”
Siglain brings almost 20 years of industry experience to her new role, more than three years of which have been dedicated to State Street.
She first joined the firm in February 2023 as global head of Prime Services, later transitioning to global head of Financing Solutions.
At State Street, Execution, Financing and Clearing will act as a connected ecosystem with the intention to give one seamless experience — from trade to funding to settlement.
The execution side will provide high-touch and electronic trading, partnered trading, and currency management.
Under the financing side, the firm provides prime services, agency lending, and secured financing. The third pillar, clearing, will provide users with cleared repo capabilities.
